President Ethan Waltermire called the meeting to order at 1:00pm
Present: Annette Miller, Lauri Thoma, Mike Nelson, Barbara Atkins, Mike Didericksen, Karen Paxton-Gray, Loren Wiesner, Ethan Waltermire and Diedra Peck.
Secretary’s report: Minutes for the July 15, 2005 were presented by Diedra. Annette moved to accept the report and Mike Dideriksen seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report: Pat Conine was absent for the report. Mike Dideriksen checked the financial reports and everything looked to be in good order. The official report will be made at the next business meeting, January 11, 2006.
Web page administrators report: Annette is checking with the AOSA to see if they will fund the $2000 needed to complete the TZ/germ research prototype. Loren suggested that if the funding was not available, a formal grant proposal be written to obtain grant money. Ethan suggested seeking donations from seed companies and other businesses that would profit from the research. Those options were put on hold until Annette hears back from the AOSA.
STEP Update: Loren Wiesner reported that 6 additional courses would be added in the fall of 2006. Their recent survey indicated a demand for formal educational curriculum for analyst training.
