Hello, My name is Brigette Fishburn. I recently heard of FRSA through my job. My husband and I moved to Colorado after attending college at the University of Wyoming where I received a bachelors degree in Crop Science. At the University I worked with Dr. Fred Gray, the professor of Plant Pathology. I recently began working for Seedex, Inc.
Seedex Inc. is a sugarbeet seed company. Seedex is one of the business sponsors of FRSA. The majority of my work is seed germinations. My work is done to enable the seed processing plant to increase the accuracy and the quality of the seed. Seedex has also begun to work with tissue culture in sugarbeets. The tissue culture program is also part of my job. I am new to the business and would appreciate any advice or help in improving my techniques or procedures. I am also hoping to use the knowledge of the group to learn more about the proper way of doing germinations and what rules currently govern what is considered acceptable. It is taking me quite a bit of time to figure out what I should consider normal or abnormal and could use some help in the area.
