DORMANCY RESEARCHER DR. CAROL C. BASKIN VISITS CSU
Dr. Carol Baskin of the University of Kentucky visited CSU recently for a lecture sponsored by the Colloquium in the Life Sciences, the NSSL, and the College of Agricultural Sciences. The title of her lecture was "Classification, Biogeography, and Evolution of Seed Dormancy Types."
She and her husband Dr. Jerry Baskin are working on a book about seed dormancy. The first draft is completed and publication is estimated about two years from now. The Baskins have gathered dormancy information on thousands of species and they are looking for evolutionary trends.
