Front Range Seed Analysts
1996 Seed Forum Volume 10 Number 3
BOOKS
Submitted by Jane Hall
There is a source for seed germination information that
seed analysts may not know about. It is from Ball Publishing and is called
"Grower Talks-Bookshelf". The catalog offers a complete line of books from
W. Atlee Burpee and many more books for professional plant growers.
Although I have not yet reviewed the two books that follow,
the descriptive narratives sound promising.
BALL CULTURE GUIDE: The Encyclopedia of Seed Germination
Containing in-depth germination and scheduling information
for more than 160 of the most popular seeds grown as greenhouse crops.
BALL PERENNIAL MANUAL: Propagation and Production
The Ball Perennial Manual unravels the mysteries of seed
germination, divisions, cuttings and other forms of propagation, along
with providing specifics on hardiness, adaptability, performance, and usage.
