WYOMING STATE SEED LAB SETTLES INTO NEW HOME

Debbie Dickerson and Billie Lundberg welcomed the FRSA to their new lab in Cheyenne, Wyoming on October 20.  The meeting was held two weeks later than originally scheduled because of a Wyoming snow storm (is anyone surprised?) and other scheduling conflicts.  The meeting was held in a lunch room down the hall from the lab.
The lab has two rooms plus a separate storage area for samples.  One room is used as an office/library area and the other is the laboratory.  Purity stations are located centrally on an island, while supplies, blower and divider equipment and planting areas are located on the perimeter of the room.  A west facing window brightens the lab.  New germinators were purchased to replace the old walk-in germinators at Laramie.  The lab shares the building with other offices of the Wyoming Department of Agriculture.  The ground floor location is much appreciated by Debbie after having endured many years of walking up (and carrying up supplies and samples - there was no elevator) the three flights of stairs to the old lab every day.
The 50 mile move was not without stress, however.  Debbie suffered every analyst's nightmare about moving; the movers managed to break the general blower glass tube!  Add to this problem the discomfort of Debbie being eight and a half months pregnant.  Her son was born days after the move was completed.

The new lab address and phone number is:
