This is a revised edition of Agriculture Handbook 450. It includes descriptions
drawings and germination methods for 386 genera. Unfortunately the newly
added genera only have brief descriptions and no drawings, but citations
for further reference make up for this shortcoming. My favorite section
is Appendix B which gives germination characteristics by Genera. Germination
methods are taken from the 1985 AOSA Rules, ISTA, and the FAO Handboolc
for Genebanks.

This is a short, well illustrated, thorough manual for evaluating corn and soybeans. The fine drawings by Chris Peterson are the best illustrations currently in print.
